Single girder bridge cranes

In general, the in-plant crane tasks are most economically solved with a single-girder bridge crane.

Bridge cranes usually run on a runway placed at two sides of the building, on brackets mounted on the walls, or on pillars serving to hold the runway. This arrangement is called top-running crane (EL).

Our cranes are made using components from Stahl Cranesystems Ltd.

With the components available, we recommend our cranes with wire rope hoists of a lifting capacity up to 20 tons and with chain hoists of a lifting capacity up to 6.3 tons.

The drive systems of the cranes can be delivered according to our customer’s needs with two-speeds or even continuously variable speeds.

Dependend on the connection between the endcarriage and the girder we distinguish "top-connected" (EL-A), "bottom-connected" (EL-B) and "mounted" (EL-C) design. The choice of layout helps to flexibly adapt to the requirements of the space to be craned and the possibilities of the building.

  • The advantage of the EL-A construction is the small distance between the rail crown level and the top point of the crane, which makes it possible to install a crane with a higher load capacity in case of a small distance between the crane runway and the roof structure.

  • The advantage of the EL-B construction is the best possible use of the hook's side positions in addition to the low construction height of the crane.

  • The EL-C layout makes it possible to achieve the highest possible lifting height with low crane runway levels and high internal heights, but it can also be an EL-CM type with a raised main girder.
